- Alberta Society of Artists - One of the first associate members becoming a full member in 1947 outselling such artists as A.Y. Jackson and Maxwell Bates during the 1950’s.
- Calgary Sketch Club - Roland Gissing became involved with the Club in the 1950’s serving one term as President.
- Calgary Power - Gissing paintings used on the Company’s Christmas greetings.
- Banff-Jasper Spitfire Fund - Donated paintings to fund-raising efforts during the war.
- The Glenbow Museum, Calgary, Alberta - The Museum holds a sizeable collection of Gissings, many donated by Gissing’s great admirer and benefactor of the Museum Mr. Eric Harvie.
- Alberta Foundation for the Arts - acquiring art for the Province of Alberta the Foundation currently holds many works by Roland Gissing in their collection.
- Palliser Hotel, Calgary, Alberta - A regular guest of the hotel from 1948 into the early 1950’s.
- Hudson’s Bay Company - Commissioned to decorate the Club Café at the new Calgary downtown store.
- Riley & McCormick - Purchased ‘cowboy gear’ with first wages earned from looking after polo ponies in Bowness for the Hon. Francis A. McNaughton.
- Calgary Exhibition & Stampede - one man shows held in 1934, 1947 & 1960.
- Calgary & Alberta Tourism - Gissing images were used on Steamships to promote immigration and tourism to the west.
- Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump - mural painting depicting a buffalo jump acquired by the museum in the 1970s.
- Former Western Heritage Centre - three large pieces displayed in the dining room two of which represent the panels Gissing painted for a 1953 Calgary Stampede float for the town of Cochrane.
